A month ago Sony confirmed that the older Xperia Z devices would be updated to Android 4.4.2 KitKat during the middle of Q2 i.e. May 2014. Well to show that there has been no change to that schedule so far, Sony has updated its product pages for the Xperia Z, ZL, ZR and Xperia Tablet Z. It pegs the release date explicitly as May 2014 for these handsets, meaning that we could start to see KitKat rolling in a months’ time (being naturally conservative, we assume the release will take place towards the end, rather than the beginning of the month). We’ll bring you any further news as we have it.
